As Capstone Financial Advisory Services Consultant - Associate on Capstone's Financial Advisory Services team, you will help develop solutions to the financial and operational challenges facing our clients and improving their overall performance. You will rely on your analytical skills and strong understanding of accounting and finance when you work on projects in turnaround, restructuring, bankruptcy and performance improvement.
Primary Responsibilities:
Effectively gathering, organizing, and analyzing large sets of financials, which are often unorganized and incomplete.
Creation of forecasts and three statement financial models.
Creating, analyzing and updating 13-week cash flow models and other financial models.
Utilizing Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other business applications to create client deliverables.
Assisting in the bankruptcy preparation and administration for clients.
Performing research and developing pitch deck support by utilizing various websites and databases, and other publicly available information.
Constructively communicating with both Capstone clients and team members.
Qualifications & Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in corporate restructuring, investment banking, and/or consulting.
BA/BS degree and/or MBA/ MS in Accounting, Finance, or other analytical fields.
Advanced foundation in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Foundational understanding of operational & financial restructuring, debtor and creditor preferred.
Understanding and analysis of financial statements.
Ability to design, build and use comprehensive integrated financial models.
Work well against deadlines and stay on task while supporting multiple work streams.
Can function well under pressure and work independently while knowing when to ask for guidance.
Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to think through alternative solutions.
Strong oral communication and business writing skills.
Excellent attention to detail, leadership skills and work ethic.
Willingness to travel.
Must be authorized to work in the United States – E-Verify Employer
Ability to pass an FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigations) background check with fingerprinting in order to be associated with the broker dealer.
