Position Description:

This role is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of the Bank’s affinity agreements with current university partners and acquisition of new partnerships.

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Key member of the Performance & Partnerships Team within Consumer & Regional Banking, which drives strategic initiatives with university, in-store/grocery, and other corporate partnerships.

• Additional responsibilities across the team include leading the financial forecast process for the Long Range Plan, implementing the New Build Playbook for ensuring success at new branches, owning the financial models for Branch Distribution initiatives (Branch and ATM openings and consolidations), and leading financial analysis of the ATM Channel.

• Support all aspects of university affinity agreements in which Huntington is the official campus banking partner of large and small universities in our 10-state footprint.

• Perform financial analysis and reporting on affinity programs to measure financial metrics including household growth, cross-sell success, overall program performance and profitability, etc.

• Coordinate all activities related to university affinity programs

• Create of presentation materials for university partners and constituents (students, faculty, staff, alumni, etc.). Work in partnership with Marketing, Compliance, sales functions, and other groups to create collateral materials which effectively promote Huntington’s products and services being offered to university community members.

• Lead or attend meetings with internal stakeholders across multiple functions and teams

• Lead or attend meetings with key points of contact at partner universities

• Conduct strategic outreach to target constituent groups to drive account production and deepening of existing customer relationships

• Plan and execute of financial literacy presentations that are relevant to university constituents

• Assist with acquisition of new affinity partnerships, including pro-forma P&L modeling, pitch deck creation, preparation of RFP response materials, and coordination with stakeholders across Huntington

• Additional duties may include review of contractual agreements, working directly with contacts at universities to coordinate activities, and preparation of executive-level presentations

• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are required to move projects and tasks from planning through execution. Must be able to manage multiple projects with deadlines and display a high attention to detail and financial accuracy.

• Occasional travel may be required for in-person meetings at universities

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of total work experience across planning, business analysis and execution functions, preferably in financial services or with brick-and-mortar retail

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, economics or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA preferred

• Must have strong analytical skills and business acumen

• Expertise in P&L management, trend analysis, and ROI calculations

• Ability to synthesize data and succinctly tell a story. Highly effective communication and presentation skills are required.

• Experience in both analytical and execution roles is preferred

• Ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines; high attention to detail

• Experience with reviewing contractual agreements is preferred
