Huntington National Bank Insurance Account Specialists- Commercial Lines Marketing in Canton, Ohio
Provide technical support to producers, account executives, account managers and other team members as directed. Possess product knowledge and technical skills. Ability to follow workflows and processes as detailed in agency procedures. Maintain attention to detail to ensure quality control. Collaborate with team to resolve any quality issues. Provide assistance in the production of new and renewal business as applicable.
Major Responsibilities:
Maintain responsibility for self-management and development
Meet with supervisor to ensure alignment and gain agreement on goals and performance standards
Record updates to goal achievements as indicated throughout year
Possess knowledge of insurance industry changes and trends
Maintain and develop product knowledge through participation in educational opportunities
Act as a resource for continuous improvement initiatives
Comply with Agency Procedures
Comply with corporate and agency policies and procedures and all subsequent updates
Adhere to agency service standards and timelines
Utilize agency technology and software applications including agency management systems, document management systems and workflows
Comply with procedures as outlined in the Huntington Employee Handbook
Provide Customer Service to Agency Clients
Respond to internal and external service inquiries within defined time frames
Collaborate with producers and other team members to address client services needs
Monitor outstanding service requests and address in established timeframes
Assist in the Preparation and Delivery of Client Documents
Assist in the new business and renewal marketing process as requested, if applicable
Update client data in agency and carrier systems as required
Work with producer and account manager to obtain required data throughout the marketing process, if applicable.
Assist in the preparation of summary, proposal and other documents, if applicable
Review policies and other documents for quality assurance requirements in accordance with agency procedures
Request changes and corrections as identified during the quality assurance review
Process and invoice policy transactions as required
Participate in Agency Growth Initiatives
Identify and convey account rounding and cross sell opportunities
Recognize referral opportunities and submit prospects as appropriate
Assist producers with new business prospecting activities, if applicable
Maintain Agency Data
Maintain and update client and policy data per agency procedures
Utilize agency management systems, workflow applications and diary systems to ensure timely service and follow up
Document correspondence, conversations and tasks in agency systems following agency procedures and workflows.
Assist in Colleague Development
Serve as a technical and process resource as requested
Assist with colleague training as requested
Corporate Initiative
Participate in corporate projects and initiatives
Assist with workflow development and implementation to support corporate initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
minimum 3 years of customer service experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience multi-tasking and handling simple as well as complex products and processes.
Organization and documentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
High energy, self-motivated, and results driven.
Demonstrated experience proactively working with team members to meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Microsoft computer skills to include basic knowledge of Word and Excel (data entry, sorting, highlighting)
Prior Insurance experience preferred.
